Here's a new one we did last night at the studio.
As some of you might know I've been working as a session player for a singer songwriter in my area.
So last night I get to the studio and Todd has this songs changes outlined and beat put together for it.
Todd usualy writes for acoustic and no matter what he had going was not working for this tune. So it was given to me to produce the music. So last night was a blast getting to make all the decisions on the music for this tune. Listening to what he was doing and the beat he had mapped for it made me think some kind of 80s rock/punk type of feel, so thats the direction I went.
I played all guitars and the bass on this one.
Once again the only guitar used was my Schroeder 001. All I can say is I love this guitar so much. It is so versatile and has a tone for everything I've gone for so far. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do about a second one. :D

Ok so here is a quick mix of this new tune. It's called "Sometimes It Takes".
Production values will be going up on our recordings by october seeing the studio is getting a Pro Tools system installed in the next few weeks..I can't wait.

Hope you all enjoy it.

Nice upper mid bite on the leads & great crunch, with great note definition on the chunky rythym. Good show Bryan!

WOW! Bryan, nice job!! Definitely my favorite tune you have done so far. I have heard a lot of stuff that you have played and this song is the most "YOU" that I have heard. Great production too. I really like your solo tone and then the tightness of the rhythm guitars and bass working together after the solo section is killer. Very impressed. A lot of the rhythm and even lead tones sound very Tele-like but fatter. Very Keith Richards but more" juicy." :D

I just turned it on for a third time! I like the low end of the crunch. But it is still articulate. Nice bass playing too! A lot of guitar players can really mess up a bass line by complicating it. You really stay in the pocket. I just want to hear a "YEAH!!" at the end of the tune!!

Very nice.

Thanks Jason!!

This song was the funnest so far for me. I have fun with all of them. But usualy I show up at the studio and Todd has most of the song arranged and his parts done. So I learn the song and come up with parts that will work well with whats already there. This time I did all the tracks first and then he did his vocals. Hopefully we'll do a few more like this.

Your tele description is great..Thats the main Idea tone wise I wanted for the guitar. I can get it kinda twangy and snappy then switch to a fatter warmer tone. I just spent the last 2 hours just jamming on it. I had so many cool tones going. :D

I cant believe you mentioned Keith Richards. I was to totaly thinking Keith on that one section.. :D

Once again i hope these clips are getting you guys excited for your guitars. I'm having a blast with mine!!!
