Here is an acoustic tune that we recorded. I am trying to show my sensitive side here!! ;) The song is called Glowing in the Desert, a song that I wrote in my head on the way to Lake Tahoe last summer. It was very weird. I was scribbling lyrics on a pad of paper while I drove. I pulled out my Martin 000-28EC when I got to my parents' cabin in Tahoe and this song came out. Definitely the first time I wrote an entire song in my head before ever picking up a guitar. Lyrics are unchanged. Those of you in California may recognize some of the landmarks. B y the way, all I used on this song is the Martin and a touch of reverb. Two main parts and a third part you can barely make out that sort of drones along in the background. Put it on if you want to feel lonely!!!

Glowing in the Desert
By Jason Z. Schroeder
Susanville to Reno
395
Itís a lonely highway
Sunset on Sierra
Over Hallelujah Junction
Iíll say my prayers here today
Maybe Iím just tired
Of running from the fire
No one to meet me at Bordertown
Not tonight
So Iíll stop in the desert
At the first red light
Desert Storm survivor
Now sheís 34
Her badge of honor was a baby boy
And theyíre so damn tired
Of running toward the fire
No one to meet her at Bordertown
No not tonight
So theyíre stuck in the desert
At the first red light
Angel doesnít live here anymore
Itís just a name someone left on the door
And he canít tell who needs who more
So he holds her ëtil she sleeps
Like heís been there before
And itís glowing in the desert at the first red light
Angel doesnít live here anymore
Itís just a g#@damn name that someone left upon the door
And he canít tell who needs who more
So he holds her ëtil it hurts
Because heís been there before
And itís glowing in the desert
And itís glowing in the desert
And itís glowing in the desert at the first red light
